What a fun, relaxed and successful day! McAuley swimming carnival was held on Monday November 11. The carnival proved to be a great day with wonderful school spirit, great cheering, good sportsmanship and some excellent competitive racing.

I would like to thank all the McAuley parents who gave so generously of their time to support our school on the day, particularly those who acted as timers and marshals for the races. A special thank you to Kim Toomey as starter and official on the day. Also thanks our scorers Lisa Cassidy and Stuart Harris who worked tirelessly all day. We would also like to thank St Mary’s Cathedral College for allowing us to have some of their Year 9 and 10 boys to assist in the water activities – Raphael, Coby, Clark and Jordan. Great job boys you did your school very proud!

Thank you to Miss Hurley for all her work in preparing for the day and the McAuley staff for their support and enthusiasm. Also thank you to Matt from Got Game for attending and supporting the day. Congratulations to the Callaghan Team for their success in winning the swimming carnival for 2019. Congratulations also to our house captains for a job well done – Zara Toomey, Clare Tolhurst and Jillian Cassidy.
